I will create a beautiful, sparkling atmosphere to welcome your guests; perform music especially chosen and arranged for you at key moments in the ceremony and continue the sweet ambiance on into the rest of your celebrations.
Weddings
Wedding Ceremony Music Requests:
You are welcome to request your choice of 3 songs for the bridal entry, bridal couple exit and for the signing of the register. I am happy to arrange almost anything for the harp, including pop songs.
Repertoire:
I have a wide range of repertoire, the standard selection is Classical, light Romantic and Celtic in style, with possibility of a more upbeat contemporary flavour including some Jazz standards.
Bookings:
A minimum standard booking for a wedding ceremony is for 1 hour, where music welcomes the guests, commencing around 15 mins before the scheduled start of the ceremony; performs at key points during the ceremony and; continues to fill up the remaining time after the bridal couple exit music.
Longer bookings can be made with suggestions as follows:
Ceremony: 1 hour
Drinks Reception: 1.5 hours
Wedding Breakfast: 2 hours
Ceremony and Drinks Reception: 2.5 hours
Drinks and Wedding Breakfast: 3 hours
Locations:
I take bookings for venues within the Greater Brisbane Area (Brisbane, Ipswich, Logan, Moreton and Redland City excluding the Bay Islands), and for an additional fee will travel to the Gold and Sunshine Coasts and Hinterlands.
Outdoor Location Requirements:
There must be full cover overhead to shield from the sun and rain (eg covered verandah or marquee) and a back up indoor space available in case of inclement weather.
There must be a solid, flat surface to position the harp and stool on.
Minimum dimensions: 1m x 1.5m
Beach weddings:
Unfortunately, the finely oiled mechanism of a pedal harp with over two thousand moving parts - and sand - do not mix! I am able to set up in a fixed building venue adjacent to the beach if there is adequate protection from the sea breeze ie inside, behind glass windows/doors.
